In the case of an earthquake with a seismic intensity of 5 or higher, the gas meter (microcomputer meter) automatically shuts off the gas supply. Let's act calmly without rushing.
When the quake stops, extinguish the gas fire
When you are using a gas appliance, extinguish the gas fire and turn off the gas at the tap.
When using gas again after a natural disaster such as an earthquake or typhoon
Check the following items.
- When you smell gas
If you smell gas, please contact us at the following.
Gas leak contact
if you do not smell gas, turn on the gas taps to use gas.
If the gas does not come out, the gas supply may be stopped by the gas meter, so follow the procedures below to open the gas tap to use gas again.
How to reset the gas meter
- Are there any abnormalities such as deformation or damage to the gas appliance body?
- Check indoor and outdoor air supply and exhaust equipment such as chimney type (visually check for disconnection, dents, and blockages to the extent possible).
- Check that the gas connector is connected correctly (visually check that the connector is not disconnected).
If you see an abnormality, since there is a risk of accidents such as carbon oxide (CO) poisoning, ask the manufacturer or dealer for inspection and repair, and contact the followings.
While using a gas appliance, if your eyes are flickering, you feel sick, or you smell an unpleasant odor, immediately stop using the gas appliance and make an arrangement for repair.

If you have a blackout
The ventilation fan does not work during a power outage, and you cannot see the gas appliances well at night. If you have to use gas appliances, entilate a room by opening the windows.
* Gas appliances that use electricity by connecting to an outlet cannot be used during a power outage.
If there is no abnormality mentioned above and you have to use the gas again, follow the procedures below to reset the gas meter.
